Rules & Regulations

     1.  Lambs & ewe lambs entered must be born January 1, 2008 or after.

     2.  Five or more entries will be required for a Breed class and Market

          Lamb class.

     3.  Exhibitors 19 years of age or younger are eligible.

     4. Show time is Friday, August 8 at 1:00 PM.

     5.  Exhibitors may bring up to three (3) market lambs and can enter

          two (2) ewes per class in the breeding division.

     6.  There will be no entry money and no premium money. You will receive

          the money from the Sales Committee after it has been divided by the

          number of exhibitors.

     7.  Animals entered in any Breeding class must be eligible for registration,

          but need not be registered. (Non-registerable animals will be entered in

          a commercial class.)

     8.  Any lamb showing signs of club lamb fungus will be asked to leave the

          premises immediately.

     9.  All applications for entry must be made to the entry clerk no later than

          Thursday, August 7.

   10.  The entry clerk is Kyle Schmillen, (712) 376-4783.

   11.  Lambs that have not been docked or castrated may not be eligible for    

          show in Market class.

   12.  Lambs will be released at 6:00 PM on Saturday, August 9.

   13.  All sexually intact sheep must have an individual Scrapie Flock of origin

        identification tag.

     Lot l.   Suffolk Ewe Lamb

     Lot 2.  Hampshire Ewe Lamb

     Lot 3.  Other Breeds Ewe Lamb

     Lot 4.  Commercial Ewe Lamb

Class II - Yearling Ewe

     Lot 5.  Suffolk Yearling Ewe

     Lot 6.  Hampshire Yearling Ewe

     Lot 7.  Other Breeds Yearling Ewe

     Lot 8.  Commercial Yearling Ewe

Class III - White Face Market Lamb

Champion & Reserve Champion White face market lamb trophy sponsored by Western Cherokee Mutual Insurance Association.

Class IV - Market Ewe Lamb 

Champion & Reserve Champion all breeds and crossbreeds trophy sponsored by Schmillen Show Lambs.

Class V  - Market Wether 

Classes will be divided by weights.

Class VI - Showmanship
