2008 Marcus Community Fair 

Rules & Regulations

     1.  Qualified judges will do all judging in all departments.

     2.  Entry Time & Date: Thursday, August 7, 2008 from 3:00-8:00 PM.

     3.  Decision committees in charge of various departments will settle any     

          misunderstanding.

     4.  The Marcus Community Fair will not be held responsible for accidents on 

          the fair grounds.

     5.  All livestock will enter through the gate on the south side of the fair 

          grounds.

     6.  All livestock will be vet inspected at the fair grounds.

     7.  To be eligible for the showmanship class award, livestock must be shown 

          by the owner.

     8.  The judging of the sheep will take place at 1:00 PM, Friday, August 8.

     9.  The judging of the swine will take place on Friday morning, August 8.

   10.  The judging of the Market Beef will take place Saturday morning, 

          August 9.

   11.  All items will be judged according to quality. That means no item, if it is 

          the only one in its class, will be awarded a prize unless the quality of the 

          item warrants it.

   12.  Exhibits in the South Quonset may be picked up Sunday evening,  

          August 10, between 6:00 - 7:00 PM - NO SOONER AND NO 

          LATER!

   13.  All prize money from the South Quonset building entries must be 

          picked up before Sunday, August 10, at 7:00 PM!

   14.  WALTER NIELSEN MEMORIAL - See Arts & Crafts Department.

   15.  RAY ROETHLER MEMORIAL - See Arts & Crafts Department.

   16.  HANS RASMUSSEN MEMORIAL - See Fruits & Vegetables 

          Department.

   17.  BEST COMMERCIAL EXHIBIT - A plaque will be awarded by Ray    

          Addy Construction.

   18.  Exhibitors age limit for sheep, swine, and beef is maximum of 19 years 

          old.

   19.  Senior citizen exhibitors - 65 years and older.

   20.  EXHIBIT BUILDINGS:  

Saturday: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM

(Closed for Parade at 4:00 PM)
