Chicken Show

Chickens will be entered, shown and released on the same day.

Entry time is from 11:30am-12:30pm on August 12, 2012.  The show is at 1:30pm.

Exhibitors must provide their own cages (none will be furnished by the fair board).  Each exhibitor is limited to eight total entries and may not show more than two in each class.

All exhibits must comply with state health requirements and must have pullorum test within 90 days of exhibition.  Evidence of origin from a "clean" flock or of a negative pullorum test must be presented at check in.

The following terms apply:
cockerel- male bird hatched after Jan 1 of current year.
cock (rooster)- male bird hatched prior to Jan 1 of current year.
pullet- female bird hatched after Jan 1 of current year
hen- female bird hatched prior to Jan 1 of current year.

Chicken Classes:

Clean Legged Bantams- modern game, english game, andalasian delaware, dutch, japanese, leghorn, lakenvelder, new hampshire, orpington, phoenix, rock, rhode island red, sussex, ancona, rosecomb, wyandotte, cornish, polish, malay, sumatra

Feather Legged Bantams- mille fleur, porcelain, booted, belgian bearded, brahma, cochin, langshan, faverolle, silkie, sultan

Heavy breeds standard chickens- ameraucana, araucana, australorp, barnvelder, buckeye, chantecler, delaware, dominique, dorking, holland, java, giant, lafleche, lamona, malay, naked neck, new hampshire, redcap, rhode island, rock, orpington, shamo, sussex, turken, wyandotte

Light breeds standard chickens- ancona, andalusian, aseel, buttercup, campine, catalana, cubalaya, game, hamburg, lakenvelder, leghorn, minorca, phoenix, spanish, sumatra, welsummer, yokohama

Feather legged and crested standard chickens- brahma, crevecoeur, cochin, faverolle, houdan, langshan, polish and sultan

Crossbreed bantams or standards- any cross between two or more breeds
